about.

This was a school concept project where we explored how emerging technology could support communication and decision-making in acute healthcare situations. The project focused on Babylance and investigated how Apple Vision Pro could be used by medical specialists to gain better insight during emergency cases involving infants.

The concept was developed through research, interviews, and mapping of user needs, with a strong focus on value creation in critical moments.

challenge.

In acute healthcare situations, specialists often need fast, clear, and reliable information to make the right decisions. The challenge was to explore how technology could support specialists remotely, while also considering the role of parents and other stakeholders.

Another key challenge was balancing information flow, time pressure, and responsibility, especially in situations where every second matters. The project also raised questions about data availability, devices used by specialists, and how insights from interviews could be translated into a focused digital solution.

result.

The solution was a conceptual mixed-reality experience using Apple Vision Pro as a tool for medical specialists. The idea was to give specialists a clearer overview of the situation through visual data, live inputs, and contextual information, without overwhelming them.

From a UX perspective, the concept focused on:

  • Presenting only the most critical information in acute situations

  • Clear visual prioritization to reduce cognitive load

  • Supporting faster understanding and decision-making

The solution also explored the possibility of controlled communication between specialists and parents, depending on the situation. This communication was imagined as optional and context-dependent, ensuring it would not interfere in urgent cases but could add value in non-critical moments.
